What is the purpose of TwitterNotes?

The best way to get things done is to keep a record of the everything we have to do/remember. We though what would be the best way to take a note everywhere and Twitter was our answer. Using TwitterNotes, you can twit your note, tag it and it will get added to your note list. Inside TwitterNotes you can see and manage all your notes and tags freely.

Where do I register on TwitterNotes?

You don't need to register on TwitterNotes. Just login with your Twitter username and password and you can immediately start taking notes. For more information see How can I take a note using Twitter?.

What will happen to my Twitter account?

Your Twitter account will remain intact after you sign in on TwitterNotes. We will only scan your timeline for notes and copy them into our service. No change will be made on the messages at your Twitter account, neither on your Twitter account data.

Will you use my account information for any other means?

Your Twitter account information will only be used to scan your messages. It will not be given or sold to any third party or use by us for any other service besides TwitterNotes.

How can I take a note using Twitter?

To create a note using Twitter, just start you're message with a plus sign, like this: + I must write an article about TwitterNotes. The note will be saved into your TwitterNotes account. Learn how to tag your notes.

How can I take a private note?

First you have to follow TNotes on Twitter. As soon as you receive a direct message from TNotes, you can start taking private notes (this shouldn't take longer that 5 minutes).

Then you can just send a direct message to TNotes every time you want to take a private note. You can also tag your notes like on public messages. Here is a private note example: d tnotes No one will see this *private* *note* #TwitterNotes.

How can I tag my notes?

There are two ways of tagging a note. You can use asterisks around a specific tag word on a message. You can also insert in the end of a message a cardinal sign followed by the tags (comma separated), like this: + I must write an *article* about *TwitterNotes* #blog, applications. This example would tag the message 'I must write an article about TwitterNotes' with the tags: article, TwitterNotes, blog and applications.

If I delete a note, will it delete my Twitter message?

No it won't. The notes in your TwitterNotes account are just a copy of your Twitter messages. No changes will be made on your messages, so you can delete your note after you're done with it.

Can I use my notes in other places?

You are free to use your notes wherever you want. We created a TwitterNotes' API for that purpose. With it you can extract your notes by RSS feed and use them for whatever you want. They are always yours.

Will someone read my private notes?

Your private notes will be sent as a direct message to TNotes. TNotes is not a real person and it is machine operated. The retrieving notes operation is done by a machine bot directly to the application database. No one will read your notes in the process.
